It is GVCC’s next generation…GVCC’s 2-point-0… It is the future.
Cyclocross is the perfect way to introduce young athletes to cycling. All events are held off the road, usually in a park setting, where parents can watch and young riders can be safe. The courses include various obstacles such as sand, barriers, hills that will be FUN challenges for young athletes. The regional cyclocross race season is almost every weekend from September to December. Race days have a festival atmosphere with competition from beginners to international pros! The GVCC Junior Cyclocross Program will give young athletes an opportunity to learn about the sport, develop bike handling skills, prepare to race in regional events, and most importantly have fun!

Each week, riders will focus on different obstacles and gradually build throughout the series. The events will be scaled to accommodate both new and returning riders.
The Junior development program will have two experienced and accomplished coaches. Craig Mattern and Andy August are veteran road, mountain, and cyclocross cyclists with a long list of wins at all levels of the sport.
