Stage Race Update!!
Parking
for the race will be 3923 North Rd (see map below for exact
location). This is an alpaca farm and the extremely generous
owners have agreed to let us use their land. They have an
open clover field that will be marked off (should accomodate
upwards of 75 cars). When you enter into the driveway, bear
right and look for the cones/other cars. Importantly, because
this is a private residence and the owners are being so
generous, please respect their land and avoid doing anything
that the club would regret. Thanks!
In addition I am looking for one more volunteer to marshal
the road race on Saturday. If you can help out please send
an email to parismj@gmail.com.

RR Course
Be sure to check out Google street view for your best look
at the one major hill on the RR course. It's a doozie.

races) to the start of the SR TT are posted here.
Check back soon for parking instructions.

will take place before the time trial Saturday morning.
Specifically, registration will open at 7:30 and close at
8:30. First rider off for the TT is at 9AM.
It would help us out tremendously if you could complete
the rider release form prior to registration. Download the
form here.
Also, please have your checks made out ahead of time to
"GVCC." The price for GVCC members for the two
days is $10 and for non-members is $15.

Latest results are posted.
As we head into the stage race next weekend, take a look
at how the points races are shaping up. Keep in mind that
the stage race is essentially worth double a standard weekday
race and points go very deep. This is a great opportunity
to pad your lead or overtake the guy ahead of you. More
importantly, it's a fun weekend of racing!
In the A's we have a drag race
shaping up between Lombard (FMV) and Scheske (PC). The B4
race is essentially sown up by Peltz (FMV) ... nice job
Jack! While the B5's won't participate in the SR, there
are still several top placing up for grabs over the last
few Thursdays (even though we've seen many of the contenders
upgrade to the 4's and beyond). Finally, Yvette Labombard
(JWD) holds a solid lead over Mary D'Angelo going into the
SR.
As always, email
with corrections. - MP

Our
own Todd Scheske had a very busy weekend at the NYS
Track Championships & USA Cycling Velodrome Championship
in Flushing, NY over the weekend. Todd brought home not
one, not two, but SIX gold medals in the masters
30+ division. Ever wonder why you can't beat him in a one-up
sprint? Well, so did his rivals in the Match Sprints, Points
Race, Kieren, and Scratch Race. He then decided to throw
in the flying 200 and the Kilo for good measure. A big congrats
to Todd.

Thanks to EVERYONE that made this year's
race a success! So many of you stepped and filled that
I can't even begin to name each person. We have a
great cycling community here - between the RBC's help and
GVCC people coming out and even last minute saving the day
for us - we are truly blessed.
Making the Rochester Omnium happen takes
an enormous amount of time and commitment by a lot of
people. Namely Scott Page though, whose never ending
energy and vision have put Rochester on the cycling map.
The WHOLE staff at Full Moon Vista as well have been out of
this world. I personally couldn't have asked for
anything more from them over the course of the event and
without them we never could have made it happen.
So thank you so much to everyone that
shuttled an official to a venue, drove brooms wagons,
chaperoned riders for USADA, set up barricades, broke down
the course in the rain at 11:30 pm or a myriad of other
items. You were FANTASTIC!
And when you see Scott or his staff
thanks them for a world class stage race! - TS
